I would NOT recommend Viking Capital for your pool loan! They do not vet the pool contractors they work with properly. We chose our pool contractor because he was a verified contractor with this loan company and they were the contractors preferred lender. That gave us a sense of security that this contractor was legitimate because they were his preferred lender. The contractor ended up stealing a large amount of money from us and put us in a very difficult position. If the lender did their due diligence and verified if the contractor had insurance and was properly bonded, we wouldn’t be in this situation and wouldn’t be out all this money. Viking was negligent in not confirming this contractor had the proper bonding as required by Georgia law. They had offered an embarrassingly low amount of money to try and make things right which we turned down. They now refuse to answer any of our lawyers repeated calls and will not communicate with us.

Alan was GREAT to work with. He was professional, communicated effectively, exceeded expectations, and, most importantly, got the JOB done. We were approved within 22 hours, and funding was out to our pool contractor within days. Nobody in the business can do what Viking Capital and Alan did for us, and we are looking forward to enjoying our pool this summer!

Viking did a great job financing our pool loan. They were responsive and communicated extremely well throughout the process, guiding us through the steps. They helped us secure the best possible rate and term. They got us what we needed fast - it took only 3 business days from the time we contacted them to the time the loan was finalized. Working with Alan at Viking Capital was amazing. Super quick, very responsive and kept me in the loop at every point, without wasting time on a bunch of fluff. I am a "get to the point and make it happen" kind of person, and Alan definitely delivered that. We were in the middle of closing on an investment property, and adding a pool... and needed to do the pool loan without risking any issues with the mortgage/house closing. Alan made it work, no problem! Highly recommend!!!

Allen and his team were focused on our satisfaction, not the contractors…which was relieving considering all the delays we dealt with throughout the project. They were in Contact with us every 3-5 days asking for updates on progress and explaining next steps in the process. I have no reservations recommending their services to friend or foe! I refuse to do further business with Viking Capital as their staff is deceitful and manipulative in order to try to push an application through. I had a terrible experience with Ed who first reached out to me before waiting for me to contact him as I was told he would. I was transparent with him about what I wanted and gave my income and credit score. After I had sent everything requested over, he asked for my wife's information stating that he needed a higher credit score. At no point did he tell me that he could not move forward with my score. He only said adding someone with a higher score would help more. My score is rated as good but my wife is rated as perfect. He asked me several times for her information and when I provided it he said he still needed my score to be at a 700. I was at a 694..what a joke. I asked him why he wasted my time doing a pull on my wife if nothing was going to change and his response was that I am one of dozens of applications made per day and that he got mixed up about my information like I was just another number. Your literal job is numbers and applications...what else are they getting mixed up over at Viking???? Scary thought. I am not a number I am a person and I will not be treated like this over a large financial decision especially when my wife and I together are definitely more than qualified. That tells me everything I need to know about Viking Capital. You aren't a customer, you're a number and they won't think a second thought about wasting your time.They should be ashamed to market themselves as veteran friendly because my experience was anything but that and I'll definitely be giving a heads up to all of my fellow military brothers. We will be happily be taking our business elsewhere.
